Dr. Beckett leaps into Reginald Pearson, personal valet to Michael G. Blake, a greedy industrialist who will tear down a Salvation Army mission at Christmas time if Sam can't get him to change his ways. After an off-handed comment from Admiral Calavicci, Sam decides what they need to give Blake the "Scrooge" treatment, with Sam as The Ghost of Christmas Past and Present, and Al as The Ghost of Christmas Future.

The episode was made available on the Quantum Leap: The Complete Third Season DVD set, originally released by Universal Studios Home Entertainment on May 10, 2005, and later reissued as part of the Quantum Leap: The Complete Series box set in 2014. It made its Blu-ray debut on the Quantum Leap: The Complete Series Blu-ray set, released by Mill Creek Entertainment on February 7, 2017, alongside a re-release of the DVD version.
