Amy Meredith Poehler is an American actress, voice actress, comedian, director, producer, and writer, who was best known for being a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 2001 to 2009. She also starred as Leslie Knope in the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation and was the creator of the Nickelodeon animated series The Mighty B!, on which she voiced the protagonist, Bessie Higgenbottom.
