Barna Hedenhös was intended to be the 1991 edition of Sveriges Television's Christmas calendar, based on the books by Bertil Almqvist with the same title. Following production problems, the series was never filmed. Instead, Sunes jul was produced as Sveriges Television's Christmas calendar that year.[1]
The Hedenhös Children instead appeared in Sveriges Television's 2013 Christmas calendar, Barna Hedenhös uppfinner julen.
