Buford Van Stomm is a character from the Disney Channel animated series Phineas and Ferb. Although he is the local bully, he is good friends with Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher and frequently takes part in their big ideas, including the events depicted in the series' two Christmas episodes.
Appearances in Christmas specials
In "A Phineas and Ferb Family Christmas", the first Christmas production in the series' chronology, Buford and Baljeet sing a rewritten version of "Good King Wenceslas". Despite Baljeet's criticism, Buford shows off that he actually knows quite a lot about the person the song is about. Later, he and the rest of the cast sing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas".
In Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation! (which was made first but takes place later), Buford states that he believes that a naughty person such as him can act any way they want all year, but they can redeem themselves in Santa Claus's eyes by performing a tremendously good act right before Christmas. Upon finding out that Santa isn't going to be coming to Danville, Buford, despite being judged as naughty, is as distraught as his friends, because it means he won't get a chance to perform his big act of kindness. When Phineas and Ferb, joined by elves Blay'n and Clewn't, start work on delivering presents to everyone in Danville, Buford helps them by spreading the word that Christmas is being saved. Because of this kind act, he is rejudged as nice, and it is revealed that his Christmas wish was to be thought of as nice by his friends.
