Carter Pewterschmidt is a major antagonist from the FOX animated sitcom, Family Guy. He is an eccentric, successful, high-class citizen and has a elitist outlook on his wealth and class. The only people he truly cares for are his family, including his daughter, Lois. This makes him especially mad about her marrying the uncultured, middle-class, buffoon otherwise known as Peter Griffin. Carter is an overachieving corporate hack, who runs his own business, known as Pewterschmidt Industries. His power and wealth allows him to disregard and patronize everyone beneath him, which includes his son-in-law. He also exhibits racist, bigoted, and homophobic views on anyone who is not a straight white Christian like himself. He has served as the main villain of Family Guy Christmas specials, namely "Christmas Guy".
