"Christmas" is the third and last Christmas-themed episode of the ITV and Channel 4 children's series Bug Alert!.
Plot
The Bugs celebrate another Christmas in the Bug Bites restaurant. Grub Bug has been playing Santa Claus down at the shopping centre. Buggins switches on the fairy lights on the Christmas tree which causes a power cut. Plug Bug has accidentally eaten all the silver balls from the Christmas tree thinking that they were sweets while waiting for Buggins to get Grub Bug. Grub Bug has called the electricity board and tells a ghost story while he, Buggins and Plug Bug wait for the electricity to come back on. The electricity comes back on and the Bugs hand out their gifts. Plug Bug gives Grub Bug some old cat litter and Buggins Grub Bug's whisk. The Bugs rehearse their Christmas play with Doodle Bug as director, Plug Bug as the Queen of Christmas Day and Mystic Mug Bug as the donkey. Grunge and Slopp sing No One Loves You and Me at Christmas. Plug Bug gets his dress caught in the branches of the Christmas tree and gets stuck while putting the star on top of it. Roy the Customer sings "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" and Doodle Bug rejects him. In the Bin: Doodle Bug makes some surprise Christmas crackers. Doodle Bug and Grub Bug play cards with Plug Bug still stuck in the Christmas tree and then both stop for a spot of Christmas lunch. Grub Bug starts to sing "Deck the Halls" which makes Plug Bug say "Grub Bug warbling and me firmly pinned to a tree?! Oh, where did I go wrong?!". In the end, Plug Bug is finally free from the Christmas tree after Grub Bug answers the door and lets go of Doodle Bug while trying to pull a Christmas cracker with him. There's no snow and Doodle Bug plays with Plug Bug's new Christmas gift - a remote controlled aeroplane with Buggins strapped to the cockpit who soon jumps out! Doodle Bug has two bits of bad news for Grub Bug - the brandy butter has melted and the kitchen is on fire which means burnt Christmas pudding again.
