Clarabelle Cow is a character from the Mickey Mouse cartoons and comics, created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks in 1928 (though she was not named until the 1930 Mickey Mouse comic strip storyline Mickey Mouse in Death Valley). She is one of Minnie Mouse's best friends and is usually depicted as Horace Horsecollar's girlfriend, although she has also been paired with Goofy on occasion. Clarabelle was a regularly recurring character in Mickey's cartoons until 1942, but she has continued to make appearances in comic book stories, video games, and occasional new television cartoons since then.
Appearances in Christmas specials
- Mickey's Christmas Carol - In this 1983 adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, Clarabelle only has a voiceless cameo as one of the dancers at Mr. Fezziwig's Christmas party.
- Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas
- "Pete's Christmas Caper"
- "Clarabelle's Christmas List" - The second Christmas episode of House of Mouse marks Clarabelle's most prominent role in a Christmas special yet.
- "Oh, Christmas Tree!" - Clarabelle's most recent appearance in a Christmas production was a cameo in this Minnie's Bow-Toons short, where she is seen caroling with Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Minnie's nieces Millie and Melody. At the end of the short, Minnie and Daisy invite her and the others in to look at their Christmas tree.
