The Conductor (Real name, James) is a character in The Polar Express. For the most part, he is like any ordinary railroad conductor, except instead of making just one hole with his ticket punch, he makes several holes that form letters which make words that serve as pieces of advice to the passengers. When the train reaches the North Pole, he serves as the kids' chaperone and escort.
