Cousin Mel is the main antagonist from the animated TV special Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer. She is a gold-digger who attempts to get the family to sell their store, and bears a strong resemblance to Daphne Blake from Scooby-Doo. Attorney I.M. Slime works for her. She’s the one who uses a bad fruitcake to get Grandma hit by a reindeer and frames Santa for it. When she finally confesses in court for her crimes, including kidnapping Grandma Spankenheimer, she’s arrested for obstructing justice and almost ruining Christmas and Santa Claus is found innocent of all charges.
