Cruella's cameo in "Clarabelle's Christmas List".
Cruella De Vil (a pun on the words "cruel" and "devil") is the main villain from the 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians by Dodie Smith and its 1961 animated adaptation by Walt Disney Pictures. She is a wealthy, fashion-obsessed heiress who wishes to use the skins of at least 99 Dalmatian puppies for a fur coat.
Appearances in Christmas specials[]
Cruella's most prominent appearance in a Christmas special was in the 101 Dalmatians: The Series episode "A Christmas Cruella". Being a take on A Christmas Carol, Cruella is naturally the show's Ebenezer Scrooge counterpart. Ironically, unlike Scrooge, she does not despise Christmas herself, instead loving it for the wrong reasons, namely the commercial aspect, and considering it the most profitable time of the year. After she fires Anita Dearly on Christmas Eve because she wanted to take the day off and spend Christmas with her family, Cruella gets knocked out by the House of DeVil's Christmas display and then has a dream in which the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future try to show her the errors of her ways.
Cruella also had a cameo in the House of Mouse episode "Clarabelle's Christmas List". When Mickey Mouse is interviewing other Disney characters about whether they've been naughty or nice, Cruella claims that she's been divine, but the offscreen Dalmatians beg to differ.
