Daniel Robert "Danny" Elfman (born May 29, 1953) is an American film composer, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor, who was the former front man of the new wave band Oingo Boingo from 1976 to 1995. He is also known for creating the theme song of The Simpsons and his collaborations with filmmaker Tim Burton, including composing the score to The Nightmare Before Christmas, in which he also provided Jack Skellington's singing voice.
