Anakin Skywalker is the protagonist of the prequel trilogy from the Star Wars film franchise. He is a legendary Force-user who served the Galactic Republic as a Jedi Knight, until he falls to the dark side and becomes the Sith Lord known as Darth Vader, the central antagonist of the original trilogy. He would eventually redeem himself to save his son, Luke Skywalker, from his master Darth Sidious, fulfilling the Prophecy as the Chosen One.
