Darwin Thornberry is the deuteragonist from the Nickelodeon animated series The Wild Thornberrys. He is the Thornberrys' pet chimpanzee and a loyal companion of Eliza, who found him in the wild shortly before she gained the ability to talk to animals. Darwin is a very cautious chimp, often hesitant to follow through with Eliza's plans; however, despite his nervousness, he always goes along on her adventures, even saving her life on several occasions.
