David Hyde Pierce (born April 3, 1959) is an American actor, director, and comedian, known for playing the psychiatrist Dr. Niles Crane on the NBC sitcom Frasier. His other well-known roles include Slim from Pixar's A Bug's Life, Cecil Terwilliger on The Simpsons, and Sir Robin in Monty Python's Spamalot on Broadway. In Christmas specials, he voiced Bird from The Tangerine Bear: Home in Time for Christmas!
