Donatello (a.k.a. Don or Donnie for short) is one of the four protagonists of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. Named after the Italian sculptor Donatello, he is the most intelligent of the four turtles, often speaking in technobabble with a natural aptitude for science and technology. His signature weapon is the bō staff, and in most iterations of the franchise, his bandana is purple.

Donatello and his brothers were among the licensed toy characters who appeared in the 2018 "Happy Honda Days" campaign. Barry Gordon, who had provided Donatello's voice in most episodes of the 1987 Ninja Turtles cartoon, reprised the role for their commercial.
In the Rock Paper Scissors episode "The Holiday Picture", the titular trio receives a Hanukkah card from the "Preteen Modified Martial Art Tortoises", who had appeared in an earlier episode.
