Dora Márquez is the titular protagonist from the Nick Jr. television series Dora the Explorer and its spin-off series Dora and Friends: Into the City. She is an Latina girl who explorers with her best friend, Boots or other characters. She even likes to get viewers to teach phrases and words in Spanish to help them out.

In the first Christmas special, "A Present for Santa", she and Boots had to go to the North Pole to give Santa his present that he forgot. To get there, they had to go up snowy mountains and across the icy river with help from Azul and some husky dogs. They make it to the North Pole and put Santa's present under his tree in time for his homecoming and sing "Feliz Navidad" together with their musical instruments they got.

In the series' second Christmas episode, Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure, Dora and her friends have a Nochebuena until Swiper causes havoc, which gets him on the naughty list by Santa. They had to find four missing ornaments and a star to help Swiper get off the naughty list and learn the true spirit of Christmas by going to the past, present, and future. In the end, they start the party now that Swiper is off the naughty list.
