Jacobson with two of his inherited characters on Sesame Street.
Eric Jacobson is an American puppeteer, who first started working with the Muppets in 1994. He was selected to take over performing Frank Oz's characters when Oz began focusing more on directing and other endeavors, due to his strong puppeteer talent and extremely similar vocal range. Since the early 2000s, he has been the principal performer of Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Animal, and Sam the Eagle for the Muppets, as well as Grover and Bert on Sesame Street, on which he also took over performing Oscar the Grouch following Caroll Spinney's retirement. He was also the performer for Piglet in The Book of Pooh.
