Ferdinand is a large, slow steam engine. One of Misty Island's "Logging Locos," his whistles can create a booming sound.
Ferdinand is painted turquoise with grey lining. He is based on Climax Locomotive Works' Class C, a geared steam engine built for logging and intended more for traction with heavy loads than for speed.
