Father Mouse is the deuteragonist of the Rankin/Bass animated special 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.
He worked closely with the local clockmaker Joshua Trundel. It was he who discovered that his own son Albert was the one who wrote the letter about Santa Claus being a fraudulent myth. He decided to show Albert the harm the letter had done, but Albert refused to listen. Later, when Mr. Trundel's clock broke down, the mayor and townspeople blamed him for the catatrophe. Father Mouse learned Albert was the one who broke the clock, and told Mr. Trundel about it. He was pleased when Albert successfully repaired the clock just in time for Santa to hear the song "Christmas Chimes are Calling".
