Foghorn J. Leghorn is a character from the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies theatrical cartoons produced for Warner Bros. Created by Robert McKimson in 1946 and introduced in the short Walky Talky Hawky, he is a large anthropomorphic Leghorn rooster with a Southern accent and a penchant for mischief. A recurring theme in Foghorn's cartoon shorts involved him and his canine nemesis, George P. Dog (better known today as the Barnyard Dog) engaging in one-upmanship through a series of pranks.
