Frieda is a character from the Peanuts comic strip by Charles M. Schulz. Introduced in the strip in 1961, she is a young girl who is very proud of her "naturally curly" hair. Unlike most of the other kids, she gets along well with Charlie Brown and Linus van Pelt most of the time. She is also casual friends with Lucy van Pelt, but does not get along well with Schroeder or Snoopy.
In A Charlie Brown Christmas, Frieda is cast as the innkeeper's wife in the school Christmas play. As Pig-Pen is given the role of the innkeeper himself, though, she complains about having to work alongside him due to his messy appearance.
Frieda also makes a brief cameo at the beginning of It's Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown. When Charlie Brown tries to sell her a Christmas wreath, Frieda thinks that he is giving away a free sample.
