"Hazel's Christmas Shopping" is the first Christmas episode of the NBC sitcom Hazel, aired as the twelfth episode in the show's first season.
Synopsis
Hazel has one gift to buy before Christmas and it's for Dorothy. However, when she discovers she doesn't have money for it, she gets a job at a department store and encounters a shoplifter.
Trivia
- Shirley Booth, who portrayed Hazel, would later become well-known to Rankin/Bass fans as the voice of the equally strong-minded Mrs. Claus in The Year Without A Santa Claus.
Availability
The episode was featured on the 1994 VHS release A Double Holiday Dose of Hazel, which also included the other Christmas episode "Just 86 Shopping Minutes Till Christmas". It was later made available on the Hazel: The Complete First Season DVD set in 2006.
