"Heatwave Holiday" is a Christmas-themed segment from the seventeenth episode of the animated series Garfield and Friends, and the second Christmas television production based on the comic strip Garfield.
Synopsis
It is the middle of the hottest day of July, and everyone's roasting in the heat. In an attempt to get cool, Garfield decides the best way to handle it is to use Jon's freezer to create a blizzard in the backyard. When Jon catches sight of this, Garfield then suggests to him that they also put up their Christmas decorations - by thinking it's December and decorating like it is, they can psychologically beat the heat.
However, as people see the decorated house, they become confused, thinking that Christmas has apparently already come. Out of that odd spirit, more and more people decorate their houses until, soon, the entire town is in the holiday spirit, befuddling Jon, Garfield, and Odie.
