"How the Syd Stole Christmas" is the Christmas episode and second season premiere of the Disney Channel sitcom Sydney to the Max. Its title derives from Dr. Seuss' book How the Grinch Stole Christmas!.

A heartbroken Sydney struggles to deal with Christmas without her mother or a holiday vacation for the first time. In an attempt to avoid celebrating the holidays at home, she goes out of her way to help a family in need. Meanwhile during Christmas 1992, Young Max (now her father) opens one of his Christmas presents too early, and loses it at school.
