Inspector Gadget is the titular protagonist of the animated series of the same name. He is a bumbling dim-witted cyborg police detective who dresses like Inspector Clouseau from The Pink Panther movies and acts like Maxwell Smart from Get Smart, with whom he shares his (original) voice. He frequently bumbles during his cases and gets into danger, but he always gets out of trouble through either his trusty gadgets, the unseen assistance of his young intellectual niece Penny, or pure luck.
