Iris Rainer Dart (born 1944) is an American author, playwright, and actress.
A known author, Dart is best known for the writing the novel Beaches which was adapted into a film in 1988 and again in 2017 for television. She also wrote for television shows like The Sonny and Cher Show and Co-ed Fever.
She began acting in the late 1960s but is known for her voice work for Rankin/Bass. She provided voice for some of their Christmas specials and the voice of Donna in their Easter special Here Comes Peter Cottontail.
