"It's a Wonderful Job" is the Christmas episode of the ABC series Moonlighting, aired in the show's third season. As the title suggests, the plot is a homage to the classic movie It's a Wonderful Life.
Maddie is not in the mood for celebrating Christmas and wishes she had never kept the agency open. Her guardian angel obliges and shows her how things would have turned out if she had closed it down. David has become very wealthy and married model Cheryl Tiegs, but Maddie has had "a very bad year" and is on the verge of committing suicide. Ultimately she decides that she is glad she kept the agency open. The episode ends with her and David sharing a passionate kiss and wishing "to all a good night".
The episode was included in the Moonlighting: Season 3 DVD set, released by Lions Gate Entertainment on February 7, 2006.
