- Black's Tenacious D partner Kyle Gass appears during the "Spelling Bee" sketch.
- The SNL Digital Short, "Lazy Sunday", soon became a cult phenomenon through its exposure on the Internet.
- Bill Hader suffered a migraine during the “Appalachian Emergency Room” sketch and was guided on and off stage by Jason Sudekis, as Hader had become temporarily blinded. Sudekis also helped Hader to remember his lines before going out onstage, as he was unable to read the cue cards.
