Jack and Madeline Fenton are a pair of characters from the Nickelodeon animated series Danny Phantom. They are a pair of ghost hunters who are the parents of Danny and Jazz Fenton and have built a number of ghost-catching gadgets and defense systems. Of the Fenton family, Jack is the most obsessed with hunting down ghosts, and tends to jump into action without thinking ahead. However, he is also quite a competent fighter who can show great skill when his family is in danger. Maddie, being the more sensible of the couple, often keeps her husband from getting into trouble. She also resembles Catwoman when she wears her jumpsuit hood.
In the series' Christmas episode, "The Fright Before Christmas!", it is revealed that Jack and Maddie always spend Christmas relentlessly arguing over whether or not Santa Claus exists, with Jack believing in Santa and Maddie being the skeptical one who does not. Their arguments often resulted in traumatic experiences for their son Danny, resulting in him harboring a deep hatred of the holidays.
