Jessica Claus is the version of Mrs. Claus who appears in the Rankin/Bass special Santa Claus is Comin' to Town and was voiced by Robie Lester. Jessica was the schoolteacher of Sombertown before Kris Kringle started to bring the children toys. At first she did not condone the behavior of Kris, who was breaking the law, he then gave her a baby doll and she fell in love with him right then and there.
Jessica decided to help him and the Kringles get toys into the city and helped craft plans such as, hiding toys in the stockings and going through the chimney. She was one of his best allies in the town and told him how to bring toys to the children without being caught. After Kris and the other Kringles were arrested, she and the Winter Warlock formulated a plan to free them. They used the magic-feed-corn, which he had to allow reindeer fly and escaped the prison through this means.
After the rescue was a success, she and Kris were married under the very first Christmas Tree. Later she would become Mrs. Claus.
