James "Jim" Eugene Carrey is a Canadian actor who shot to stardom on the sketch comedy show In Living Color. He soon found his way to leading roles in the mid-1990s with Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Mask, Dumb and Dumber, Batman Forever, The Cable Guy, Liar Liar, The Truman Show, Man on the Moon, Bruce Almighty, Horton Hears a Who! and the Sonic the Hedgehog movies by Paramount as Robotnik.
He wrote his first book in 2013 entitled How Roland Rolls. The book was awarded a 2013 Gelett Burgess Children's Book Award.
His current work is the lead actor in the Showtime series Kidding.
