Originally popularized by Bobby Helms, "Jingle Bell Rock" is a holiday standard which has been recorded by numerous artists. The title and some of the lyrics refer to the popular holiday song "Jingle Bells", but the song also makes reference to popular songs from the 1950's.

In media

• In the 1980s and 1990s, the Disney Channel ran a DTV music video of the song, set to clips from the 1935 Mickey Mouse cartoon On Ice and the "Wintertime" segment from the 1948 film Melody Time.
• Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem performed the song in A Muppet Family Christmas.
• The original broadcasts as well as the first VHS release of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "Koopa Klaus" featured a cover of the song in two scenes. (In reruns and later home video releases, it was replaced by the instrumental version of a song from The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3.)
