Jules Eratosthenes Brown and Verne Newton Brown are two of the main characters in the Back to the Future: The Animated Series. They are the children of Dr. Emmett Brown and his wife, Clara Clayton, who first appeared in minor, non-speaking roles at the end of Back to the Future Part III. They were named after the couple's favorite author, Jules Verne. Jules (the tall dark-haired one on the left) is an introvert who takes after his father's interests and mannerisms, while Verne (the short blonde one on the right) is more outgoing and extroverted.
