The Kids are a group of children that appear in the 1969 Christmas Classic, Frosty the Snowman. They are Karen's friends, who build Frosty at the beginning of the movie.
Plot
Karen and her friends first appear in their classroom when Professor Hinkle show them a magic trick of turning eggs into his bunny, Hocus Pocus, but the trick fails. Later, after Hocus appears out of Hinkle's hat, he bounces around the classroom which causes the kids to laugh. The school bell then rings and the kids run outside for the snow.
After running outside for fun in the snow, Karen and her friends build a snowman and name him Frosty. After Hinkle chases Hocus out of the school, he grabs him and the hat flies in the wind, causing Karen to catch it. After putting it on Frosty's head, it suddenly brings him to life. Karen and her friends realize that Hinkle's hat must be magic, just as the wind blows it off Frosty's head. Hinkle then catches his hat as he says he would want it back if it's magic. The kids try to convince Hinkle that they did see Frosty come to life, but he completely doubts to believe them, as well as telling them, "Once your grown up, you realize that snowmen, can't come to life!". Hinkle then leaves them, but the kids tell Frosty they don't care what grown ups say and they know they did come to life.
Later, after Hocus replaces Hinkle's hat with a Christmas Reef, he quickly returns back to the school where the kids were still looking at Frosty. As soon as Karen sees Hinkle's hat back, she puts back on Frosty's head to see if it would bring him to life again, which it does. The kids were very happy to see their snowman all living. However, when it suddenly started to get warm, Frosty notices a thermometer turning red, which means he could start to melt. The kids realize they needed to get Frosty to a place where he would never melt. They decide to take Frosty to the railroad station and put him on a train to get him to the North Pole. Frosty and the kids then start to parade down the streets to get to the railroad station, with people seeing Frosty in shock, and being stopped by Traffic Cop on the way.
After arriving to the railroad station, the kids find a train with a refrigerated train car for Frosty to ride on since the kids or Frosty don't have any money for train tickets. After Frosty, Karen and Hocus board the train car, the rest of the kids stay behind as they wave good bye to Frosty, Karen and Hocus as the train leaves.
The kids later appeared again during the film's credits doing another parade on Frosty's return.
Trivia
- Karen and her friends for some reason don't at all appear in the sequel, Frosty's Winter Wonderland, they were completely different kids.
