Katherine Mulligan is a recurring character from the Nickelodeon animated series The Loud House. She is a reporter for Royal Woods' local news program, who has a tendency to use news-speak and refer to herself in the third person even when she's not working. She is always on the hunt for anything to broadcast on the news, but doesn't typically show sympathy towards her interviewees, which comes as an annoyance to them and her co-workers. She is also in a book club with Principal Ramirez and is now dating Rodney Spokes (Rusty's dad).
To date, Katherine's only appearance in a Christmas production was in the live-action movie A Loud House Christmas, in which she was portrayed by Catherine Taber, reprising her role from the cartoon. In the movie, it is revealed that she once auditioned for Howard and Harold McBride's production of Wonder Woman: The Musical, and as such, they have her e-mail address. In their ploy to get the Loud family to stay home for Christmas, Lincoln and Clyde send her a video they have filmed of an alleged "sharkodile" attack in Miami, where Lincoln's family was planning to take a vacation. Katherine broadcasts the video on the local news and warns everyone watching to not go to Miami. However, Scoots then provides Katherine with a video she recorded of the "sharkodile" having made its way to Royal Woods (actually Lincoln and Clyde hiding their sharkodile prop in the woods); as a result, Katherine tells her viewers that Royal Woods is being placed under curfew and the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the mall (which Lily had been picked to do) is cancelled. Lincoln calls up Katherine to tell that the sharkodile is fake, but she doesn't believe him. Lincoln and Clyde then proceed to bring their sharkodile prop to the mall for Katherine to see, causing a lot of property damage in doing so, and when they do, Katherine follows them into the mall, eventually seeing Lincoln emerging from the "sharkodile". After Lincoln confesses everything he did, Katherine officially declares that the tree-lighting ceremony is back on.
