"Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow", also known as just "Let It Snow", is a song written by Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne. It was written in 1945 in Hollywood during one of the hottest days on record. It is one of a number of winter-related songs generally associated with the Christmas season, despite there being no direct reference to Christmas in it.

Lyrics

Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
It doesn't show signs of stopping
And I've brought some corn for popping
The lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
When we finally kiss goodnight
How I'll hate going out in the storm
But if you'll really hold me tight
All the way home I'll be warm
The fire is slowly dying
And, my dear, we're still goodbyeing
But as long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

The last two stanzas are reprised with additional "Let it snow!" lines (usually four times).
