Lucy L. Loud is the fifth-youngest of Lincoln Loud's ten sisters in the Nickelodeon animated series The Loud House. She is a gloomy and cynical goth girl with interests in Gothic poetry and fiction, and is also the co-president (alongside her best friend Haiku) of Royal Woods Elementary's Morticians Club. Lucy is also known for her tendency to pop up out of nowhere behind her siblings' backs and scare them. Despite (or perhaps because of) her spooky demeanor, though, she is also the calmest of the Loud sisters.
Appearances in Christmas specials[]
The Loud House[]
As one of the show's main characters, Lucy naturally appears in the show's first Christmas episode, "11 Louds a Leapin'", sharing her subplot with her older sister and roommate, Lynn Jr. Much of the episode finds Lucy and Lynn looking all over the house to find where their parents have hidden their Christmas presents. At one point, Lucy performs one of her séances to contact the Ghost of Christmas Past, thinking they'll be able to help. However, it is cut short when Lincoln informs her and the rest of their sisters that he just found out why Mr. Grouse is so crabby around Christmastime. Upon learning about the old man's sad state of affairs, Lucy realizes they should have focused on giving and takes part in bringing cheer to their neighbor. At the end of the episode, on Christmas morning, Lucy is shown having apparently applied glitter to her statue of Edwin (her fictional vampire crush).
In the online-exclusive Loud House short "12 Days of Christmas", in which the Loud family sings their version of the titular song, Lucy's line is "seven bats a-flying", which she says while accompanied by her pet bats.
Lucy's next appearance in a Christmas special was in the fifth-season episodes "Season's Cheatings" and "A Flipmas Carol". In the former segment, it is revealed that Lucy's idea of a gift for whichever sibling she ends up picking in the family's gift swap is giving them an empty box containing "a void of nothingness". And in the latter segment, which is a pastiche of A Christmas Carol, she (fittingly enough) portrays the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come to the Scrooge-like Flip.
The show's next Christmas episode, "Snow Escape", has Lincoln mentioning to the viewers that Lucy has picked out a Christmas gift for Haiku... which appears to be a beating heart. Lucy and her younger siblings then spend the episode trying to get to school on the last day before winter vacation while avoiding snowball attacks from her roommate Lynn Jr. Lucy is unfortunately taken out early on.
Lucy's latest Christmas appearance was in the episode "'Twas the Fight Before Christmas", in which she and her siblings team up with their cousins to put an end to the sibling rivalry between Lynn Sr. and his brother Lance. After hearing that Lincoln, Lori, and their cousin Shelby have wound up on thin ice in their attempt to buy gifts for their dads, the other Louds are shown nervously waiting for them to come back; during this, Lucy puts on her funeral outfit. Despite her love for doom and gloom, however, Lucy can be seen cracking a smile when she sees her dad and uncle return with her two siblings and cousin safe and sound.
The Really Loud House[]
In the live-action movie A Loud House Christmas, when the Loud family decides to take a vacation to Miami for Christmas, Lucy is eager to go because she's hoping to see a shark attack.
Other Christmas productions[]
Lucy and her family have a cameo at the end of The Casagrandes episode "A Very Casagrandes Christmas", in which they pay the Casagrandes a visit for Christmas due to Vanzilla breaking down in Great Lakes City.
Outside of The Loud House franchise, Lucy appeared alongside her brother Lincoln for his Christmas greeting in The All-Star Nickmas Spectacular, scaring him by popping out from behind the family's couch and pointing out to him that she's the one he forgot to mention when he listed each of his sisters.
Mentions in other Christmas specials[]
In The Great Nickmas Tree Sliming, during Lincoln and Clyde's cameo segment, they state that they have borrowed Lucy's book of ancient spells in order to find a way to get Santa's sleigh airborne again.
