"Mel's Christmas Carol" is the third Christmas episode of the CBS sitcom Alice, produced and aired as the ninth episode of the show's sixth season.

Everyone at the diner is the Christmas spirit, that is, except Mel who has turned into a modern day Ebenezer Scrooge, begins using "humbug" as a Christmas greeting, refuses to give the girls Christmas bonuses, and tries to force them to work on Christmas Eve. After they quit in a huff, the ghost of Mel's old partner scares the dickens out of him.
