Hi Philip, thanks for welcoming some of the new visitors. Just so you know, when it's an anonymous IP, we're using the welcomeanon template which encourages them to log in. Thanks! —Scott (talk) 21:19, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks Scott, I'll remember to do that next time I see a new user. Phillip (talk) 21:22, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
Hi, Phillip! It's nice to see you on this wiki.
You added some stubs for the Flintstones characters today. I'd actually prefer not to have stubs like those on the wiki.
We developed a general guideline on Muppet Wiki that if a reader clicks on a link -- like "Fred Flinstone" on The Flintstones -- then the reader should get something new, either more information or a picture.
The page that you added says "Fred Flinstone is a character from the animated sitcom, The Flintstones." That doesn't give the reader any new information. If a reader clicks on "Fred Flinstone" and sees that, they'll be disappointed, and they'll feel like they wasted their time clicking on the link. We want every click to be meaningful.
So I'm going to delete those pages for now. If you want to create them again, and add more information, that would be great. I just want you to know that guideline, that every click should give you more information than you had before. -- Danny (talk) 20:38, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- That's a good policy :), I'll create them once I've got some information about them. Oh, I wanted to ask you if it would be possible that I could be a sysop on the Christmas Specials Wiki? Phillip (talk) 20:46, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- I saw that you re-created the Fred Flintstone page, with more info. That's good, although what we really need there is more info about his Christmas Specials. That's the information that's most relevant to this wiki.
- Will do, thanks Phillip (talk) 21:06, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Hi, welcome to Christmas Specials Wiki! Thanks for adding to A Charlie Brown Christmas.
