This article is about the Beauty and the Beast character. For the Bob the Builder character, see Mrs. Potts (Bob the Builder).
Mrs. Potts is a character from the 1991 Disney animated feature film Beauty and the Beast. She is the head of the kitchen in the Beast's castle, and the mother of Chip Potts. As a result of the curse placed on the castle, she was transformed into a teapot. She is very motherly in nature, but also has a very strict sense of responsibility. Often she is kind and consoling, but can be stern when the situation calls for her to be; out of all of the Beast's servants, she is the one who will most likely confront him about his behavior when he is in a temper (depending on how extreme the Beast's mood is).
