"New Best Friend" is the original song from Porchlight's The Christmas Dinosaur. It was performed by Tim Cullen, the former vocalist/guitarist of Maverick's alternative rock quartet Summercamp (1993-2001). It was first heard in a montage spanning from the afterschool of December 21st up till the evening of December 23rd. The instrumental rendition was used as Jason Barnes takes Spot off to the flight on Christmas Eve. It was also heard throughout the closing credits.
