Solomon Hersh Frees, better known as Paul Frees (June 22, 1920 - November 2, 1986), was an American voice and character actor who did much voice work for Disney, Rankin/Bass, and Jay Ward Productions.
Best known as the voice of Toucan Sam from early Froot Loops commercials and Boris Badenov from Rocky and Bullwinkle, Frees provided narration for Disney films such as The Shaggy Dog and The Absent-Minded Professor, and was also the original voice of Ludwig Von Drake and the Ghost Host from Disneyland's Haunted Mansion ride.
Frees is also well-remembered for many characters in the Rankin/Bass cartoons and stop-motion animated TV specials, including many of the company's Christmas specials.
