Peter Cratchit is the older son of Bob and Mrs. Cratchit in A Christmas Carol. He is the Cratchit family heir, for whom his father is arranging employment at the weekly rate of five shillings and sixpence. In the original story, he has five siblings, including his sisters Belinda and Martha, and most notably his younger brother Tiny Tim, as well as another brother and sister who were not named (and are often left out of the adaptations).
