Peter Cullen with his most famous character.

Peter Claver Cullen (born July 28, 1941) is a Canadian voice actor. He got his start providing additional voices on the original 1962 run of The Jetsons, but became best known as the original voice of Optimus Prime in the original 1980s Transformers animated series, a role he has since reprised in the live-action Transformers movies as well as the newer shows Transformers: Rescue Bots, Transformers Prime, and Transformers: Robots in Disguise. Cullen is also known for having been the official voice of Eeyore in Disney's Winnie the Pooh films and television shows from 1988 to 2010, and also voiced Monterey Jack in the earlier episodes of Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers (after which Jim Cummings took the reins). In addition, he is notably the first voice actor to ever provide the voice of Mario, whom he voiced in the Donkey Kong shorts for Saturday Supercade.
