"Rupert and the Christmas Toffee" is the Christmas episode of The Adventures of Rupert Bear, aired on ITV in December 1970.
Plot[]
Rupert's mother has been busy making some toffee and after tasting some of it for himself, Rupert decides to take some of the homemade toffee for him and his friends to eat. While he's out in Nutwood Village, Rupert also meets Podgy Pig and soon, they head off to meet the others on the common field. But while they are walking along the path where Bill Badger's house is at, Rupert soon discovers that Podgy had eaten the toffee, so they decide that it would be best to make some more toffee at Podgy's house. But once they are finished making the toffee, Rupert discovers that they actually made cough sweets by mistake. However, the cough sweets surprisingly manage to help Rupert's friends who are feeling poorly and even Santa Claus too.
