The gang visits Britain so Velma can give a speech, but they are quickly sidetracked by a man named Scrooge, who claims to be plagued by three phantoms. While trying to solve the mystery, Velma quickly discovers that the ghosts aren't there for Scrooge, but rather for her. Giving the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol a new spin, the three ghosts of Christmas try to show Velma that the gang is holding her back in life. Velma must make the difficult decision of whether she wants to stay with the gang and continue to solve mysteries, or go off and pursue her dreams on her own.
