Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man (or Spidey for short), is a Marvel Comics superhero who first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1962. He is a high school student having to deal with the normal struggles of adolescence in addition to those of a costumed crime-fighter. His burdens and infamously bad luck sadly extend through even to the Christmas season, but Spider-Man's sense of responsibility and dogged perseverance place him on the level of all the classic Christmas heroes of the past and see him through moments both hard and humorous.
