Steven Alan Spielberg (born December 18, 1946) is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter, who is best known as the most commercially successful filmmaker in history. He is known for founding the company Amblin Entertainment and executive-producing the films Jaws, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Schindler's List, Jurassic Park, Ready Player One, and the original Indiana Jones trilogy. He was also a co-founder of DreamWorks Pictures, alongside Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen).
