Red gives Eric $40 to buy a Christmas tree, but he, Hyde, and Kelso cut one down along the interstate and keep the money for beer and presents. Red is forced by Bob to spend his Christmas Eve at the store. Laurie spikes the punch at Eric's Christmas party.

The episode was included on the That '70s Show: Season One DVD set, originally released by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment in 2004 and later re-released by Mill Creek Entertainment in 2011. It was then featured on the That '70s Show - Holiday Edition: 10 Festive Episodes DVD, released in 2011. Its most recent home video release was on the That '70s Show: Season One Blu-ray set in 2012. It was also included on the TV Guide Spotlight: TV's Merriest Holiday Episodes DVD.
