The Elf on the Shelf: An Elf's Story is a CGI direct-to-video Christmas special, based on The Elf on the Shelf stuffed toys and books, that premiered on DVD and Blu-ray for the 2011 holiday season, and made its televised premiere on CBS on November 25th of the same year.
